Peter Talks about some of the equipment Camera Used back in 1983
The Korg Mono/Poly is featured on many of the Camera recordings. It was used for most of the chord work and a few of the more intense noises. This example is in the Ded Good studio and not the one I used during my Camera days.
The Prodigy was used on quite a few of the songs, mainly for lead sounds and the odd bass. I couldn't get my head around the "S" trig system at the time so it was always played live.
I aquired a JP8 shortly after we did Destitution and used it on just about all the songs after that. It's still the best polysynth Roland ever made and I can't believe I sold the Camera one to buy an Akai S612! This one is in the DGM studio and is in perfect working order.
Ahh, the Sh09, what a great monosynth.. when coupled to the CSQ100 it became a formidable composing tool back in 1983. I used it to come up with all my sequences including the haunting Destitution melody.
I used the SCI Pro 1 on one session during the days of Camera Obscura and thought it was great. Very agressive noises and plenty of modulation choices made it very interesting. I finally bought one in 2001 and have not been sorry!

Other equipment we used included a Logan String Melody, Roland Juno6, Roland SH5, Roland TR808 drum machine, Roland SH101, LinnDrum, SCI Prophet V (never got one that worked properly!) and a Roland organ/string machine.

Thanks to Ded Good Studios for the pictures.
